This kit is used to keep tension on the shifter where it connects to the shift linkage, and ultimately the transmission. If your shifter is sloppy and loose, then this kit is needed to tighten things up. The insulators, springs. trunions and shoulder bolts are easily installed on your 4-speed shifter. The kit includes two shoulder bolts, two insulators, two springs, and two trunions.
